Throughout this series readers have been learning the art of ecstatic sex. (Though at this stage it is better known as ecstatic love). What is ecstacy? It is a state of continual joy, or bliss. What is bliss? It is a state of deep inner at-one-ment and peace. When bliss happens a person's entire being melts into Being, the primal state of oneness, and the person experiences separation (even from their partner) no more. Having said this, it is importortant to distinquish between happiness, joy, rapture, and bliss.
The beginning stages of ecstatic sex in general take individuals through the state of happiness into that of joy. The intermediate stages of ecstatic sex take individuals through the place of joy into rapture. And, the advanced stages of ecstatic sex move a couple together through the state of rapture into total bliss.
Though aspects of the intermediate stages of ecstatic sex are found in some popular tantra books, ecstatic sex (as shared in the article ecstatic sex vs. tantra sex) takes a couple much further. In ecstatic sex it is far less about "doing" during the sexual encounter and far more about "being. " Paradoxically, couples must learn therefore, to actually do less.
Advanced stages of ecstatic sex include:
In short, all methods learned in the beginning and intermediate stages of ecstatic sex (or love making) have to be essentially unlearned. In fact, the more either couple is "doing" anything at this stage, the more likely they will abort reaching these higher levels. As will be revealed in the articles to come, "undoing" is the best way to describe this process. For it is precisely in "undoing" that couples are able to move into the total "being" that is known at this point as ecstatic love.
